Anna McKelvie | Founder/Artistic Producer
Anna McKelvie is an actor, director and poet based in South London, and co-founder of Anthroplay.
Originally from Portsmouth, she trained at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts and Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts. As an actor, her screen work includes an upcoming series for Amazon, Extraordinary (Disney+), Diet Phantasma from V/H/S Halloween (Shudder), and several short films.
Through Anthroplay she writes, directs and produces new theatre and live performance, and produces Anthrotalks, a popular variety night at Two Brewers celebrating poetry, drag, music and comedy.
Her poetry has been published by Lucy Writers, Beardance Theatre and SLAMminutes. She has also directed new writing at the Bread & Roses Theatre and Ghost Town by Will Croft at the Bridge House Theatre.
Alongside her creative work, Anna works as a creative facilitator delivering drama, music, movement and storytelling workshops for adults with learning disabilities and autism, people living with dementia, and young people.
